Vallon-Pont-d’Arc

You surely already know that there’s no visiting this town without going to see the famous Pont d’Arc. This monumental natural arch overlooks a magnificent beach on the banks of the Ardèche. In Vallon-Pont-d’Arc, don’t forget to visit the market, open every Thursday during the summer.

Our campsite is only three kilometres from this charming village, so you can even walk there. 

The Ardèche Gorges

Located at the border between the Ardèche and the Gard, this nature reserve boasts exceptional biodiversity. You may even be lucky enough to spot a Bonelli’s eagle, an endangered species of raptor.

This mountain landscape crossed by the winding Ardèche River will take your breath away. Hiking fans will love exploring the Ardèche Gorges by foot.

Ask for a map of the main hiking trails at the Vallon-Pont-d’Arc Tourist Office. You can also explore these landscapes by bike or in a canoe

  • Vogüé is known for its castle and buildings carved out of the rock face.

Caves

Chauvet 2 cave, a UNESCO heritage site, is a reconstruction of the oldest decorated prehistoric cave in the world. Hundreds of works are reproduced. You can also visit the Madeleine de Saint-Remèze caves, with subterranean landscapes as grandiose as they are magical.
